inspiration is taken from volume 4 in regards to his parents. please note, sarah rogers is a big, big influence in steve's life. it's the abusive relationship with a veteran joseph that inspires steve to keep standing up.they end up living with sarah's father, who also becomes a large factor in steve's life. his grandfather teaches him art to help him overcome some of his trauma. there is also the beginnings of learning how to fight, which bucky later rounds out when he teaches steve how to box.NOTE: this blog does not assume a relationship of any kind happened with peggy before or during the war. steve is far too self conscious with his new body and too focused on finding the 101st==CIVIL WAR. == ㅤㅤto be expanded upon.for the sake of most interaction, steve still goes underground as a fugitive of the united states. after breaking everyone free from the raft his goal is to keep saving lives in whatever way he can, even if that means he has a giant target over his head. the shield is gone, having been left behind in siberia. he becomes nomad.==INFINITY WAR. == ㅤㅤ In the wake of the Snap Earth had to learn to readjust to everything. Half the population was gone. Law enforcement, doctors, nurses, politicians, military personnel, teachers, and every other profession that made the nation run as smoothly as possible. Technically, he was still a fugitive, but the Captain’s heart was full of pain and guilt because he’d let his best friend down yet again. Only, this time, he let the universe down, too. Thanos was in his hands. Stopping everything was quite literally in his fingertips.But, he didn’t. So the world needed to rebuild.After helping Wakanda clear the battlefield of the fallen he returned back to his home. The Accords were the last thing on his mind. Too much else occupied it. Where was Tony? How could they fix the Snap and bring all those people back? Bring Bucky back.He set his Wakandan shield on the bed he occupied before moving in with the rest of the Avengers. Living in that building again wasn’t even an option with everyone missing. Their ghosts lived in his head. He didn’t need daily reminders of everyone he’d failed. If he was going to fix the situation he needed a space to think.To mourn.

Steve stormed Capitol Hill, in a sense. Times had changed and he hoped that in the wake of the global catastrophe the ones left to run the country would be a little more lenient. Not that it mattered. Nothing was going to stop him from helping those who were left. Luckily, it didn’t come to that. The Captain was granted amnesty for the events of Civil War. Begrudgingly, he figured. But that didn’t matter. He wasn’t sure if it was a permanent standing or something shoved to the side until everyone picked themselves off the ground. Either way, he set to work by combing the streets of Brooklyn for those to help in whatever way he could. Just like he did after the events of Civil War.==END GAME. == ㅤㅤ one world took a toll on him. trying to put the world back together for a second time was taking a toll on him. but, steve takes the infinity stones and puts them back where the avengers originally got them from. he does not stay behind with peggy. steve leaves her be because to do anything else would be to tear down everything he fought for when bucky was under hydra control.he walks away from the avengers a second time. at least this time he's not a fugitive. steve felt the world needed him in different ways than he could provide in being a superhero. so, the shield is handed over to sam. steve goes back to his wakandan bracers to become nomad once again. he likes being able to go where he's needed and without a government umbrella hanging over his head.

NOTE: stems from the modern au as a base.steve had been in the quinjet flying back home with the rest of the howling commandos when the radio started spouting weird reports about the dead rising. they laughed, thinking it was the joke. with all the dead they’d seen with the team they knew for a fact that was a medical impossibility. the screams were convincing, though. that was a little unnerving.once they started approaching the military base, though, they knew something was wrong. everything was in chaos. there were tanks rolling out, flickers of gun fire as far as the eye could see. along the coast were lines of people screaming. it felt like they’d flown into the set of a horror movie. landing didn’t change their opinion.at all.he ran to the front line with a shield on his arm and fire in his heart. with terror surging through his veins he found himself running on autopilot, attacking anything that went near the rest of his unit. they fought for what felt like eons when in reality it was something close to an hour. bit by bit the fort was overrun and most were forced deeper inside. since he’d attacked the front line with such ferocity he was forced off into a different angle in order to look for safety.since then the soldier has been scouring for survivors, food, and a way to get his home back.

Fortunately, modern medicine went a long way to stop a lot of problems before they started. That didn’t stop a lot of other kids from teasing, though. He grew angry, defensive, and liked to swing his fists around to show anyone that size didn’t matter. Just because he was smaller didn’t mean he was any less worthy.The summer he turned fifteen he shot up close to a foot and the change was so drastic that his classmates barely recognized him. Attention changed. People were nicer. They noticed him but Steve was uncomfortable enough that he kept everyone at arm’s length. Art was the best outlet he had.At eighteen, Steve enlisted in his army. Part of it was to try following his father’s footsteps and the other was so that he could help bring peace to the world. The longer he fought the more he understood that this was an ideal that would take time and patience. Still, he did what he could until his contract was up

- jaeger: rebirth shield / plot dependentafter an impeccable record with the army, steve gets pulled to serve in the jaeger program. rising kaiju threat incites a scramble for pilots who are drift compatible. luckily, steve finds himself drifting with a long time friend. together they help to protect the eastern seaboard.that is, until they got overpowered. an electric tail shit down their jaeger after burning out the power core, leaving them like literal fish in a barrel. massive teeth crunched metal. there are nights when steve can still hear cries through the drift. he couldn’t save his partner and the guilt’s weighed heavy on him ever since.until he finds another partner to help pilot the jaeger, steve’s been tasked with training new recruits. when necessary he also helps provide ground support in whatever way he can during missions.
